My latest playlist has a lot of great new music on it. Perfect for Fall. Do it!
BLOG IS NOT DEAD!
Summer was busy. That’s part of being a youth minister. I really didn’t spend much time designing from May–August.
I worked on some random things in September. The biggest thing was the planning and sketching that I did for Kid President. I’m supposed to launch a web store in the very near future.
Last month I went to Hawaii. Incredible trip. Wanna see some pictures? Woah. We don’t even know each other. No way.
Right now I’m prepping for this KP store. I’ll have plenty to share in the next couple months, as well as a new website for 2014 and beyond. Thanks, to both of you, for being patient.
Long time, no see! Summer is in full swing, so I’m busy with my youth group—but there are some big things going on at the office. Today, Cotton Bureau officially launched and my Love Somebody tee is available for pre-order. I have to sell 25 shirts in order for it to be printed, and I only have 2 weeks. So, please check it out and consider purchasing this awesome AA cotton shirt for only $24 before time’s up! Thanks!
You can purchase my shirt here.
just a little update
So, I’ve been MIA for a few weeks. I’ve been working hard on some artwork and logo design for a clothing company out of Portland. That project, however, is in “time out” since the partners may or may not have split up the company and my incredible logo may go unused. That’s okay. It’ll all work out in the end.
I’m working on a new website. Nothing new or fancy; actually, it’s been done several times before, just not by me.
While working on that new website I realized something: I really don’t have anything I want to show off. Don’t get me wrong: I enjoy sharing my work, and although most of my tumblr posts are inspiration, I feel like this is the perfect place for that. But most—practically all—of my posts are WIP or unfinished ideas or drawings or random junk. So, I decided not to finish the site until I had a few FINISHED projects to share that I would be proud to display.
I’m happy to say that over the past month, I’ve landed a couple of exciting clients that have given me a little more creative control than usual. That means I’m branching out, trying new things, and figuring out ways to push my comfort zone. It hasn’t been that hard to step outside the box. The past few posts on instagram and dribbble have been really cool for me. I’ve gotten some good feedback and support from contemporaries. Even a few mentors.
So, I’ve got a lot of stuff backlogged that I want to share. Everything from personal work to inspiration to new process videos I’ve discovered to photos of the awesome new art my wife and I purchased for Christmas. I’ve also got a few new projects that I’m excited to wrap up this month and I look forward to sharing those with you. Hopefully, the website will be up this spring. Until then, look at the dribbble page or follow me on twitter. I won’t waste your time. Promise.
I’ll probably be back soon. Don’t hold me to that…
